A bathroom with bottles of Carifree Treatment rinse

Why was this rinse prescribed?

CTx4/CariFree rinse is a strong antibacterial rinse that is used to treat cavities and gum disease. This rinse is a prescription treatment rinse that reduces the amount of acidophilic bacteria that causes cavities, as well as periodontal bacteria that causes bleeding and inflammation. You will use this rinse until the bottles are empty, and depending on the severity of your disease, you may have one or two boxes.

In each box, there are two bottles, labeled “A” and “B”, and a measuring cup is also included in the box. The rinse is meant to be mixed and used at the same time, not one after the other.

Fill the measuring cup with 5ml of “A” bottle AND 5ml of “B” bottle, to get a total of 10ml of rinse.  Now that you have your activated mixture, vigorously rinse for 1 minute. This rinse has a strong taste, similar to chlorinated pool water. We recommend using this before brushing your teeth.
